One of our scriptures says, "...These two facts do exist, that there are two spirits, one being more intelligent than the other; there shall be another more intelligent than they..."
Well, my wife is more intelligent than me.
After having our grandchildren around for the last two weeks, I found another truth. She (my beautiful wife) is much better at grand parenting than me. I watched with admiration and envy as my grandsons and granddaughters sought her out for every imaginable issue or opportunity. She has such a way with them. They love her so much. She reads to them, she feeds them, she dries their tears, she disciplines, she teaches them and just loves them all the time. I try to do the same but it just doesn't compare.
So, my dear wife, also known as Mimi, Nana and Grandma, is much better than me. I am so blessed to have her around. So are the grandchildren who are the greatest beneficiaries of her marvelous ways.

Oh Dad, it's not healthy to "compare". You silly, wonderful grandpa!
My wonderful husband is a very special, loved Grandpa! We are a team and we each have our own strengths.
Oh it is so sweet to get such nice compliments! I think the kids might prefer Mimi over their own mom too. At least for the 2 weeks we were there. She is wonderful to put up with them waking her up when the sun came up :)
