While on a hike this morning on Thunderbird mountain in Phoenix, I heard my grandson utter an interesting comment.
Standing on top of a rock, he yelled, "I am the king of the Jews".
Some of our fellow hikers below us started laughing.
Where did that come from?
Other comments: Looking at the dirt, he said it was "Powdered Sugar". Nope, changed it to "Powdered Dust".
Beautiful view of the area while on top of the mountain.
While descending, I took my time as my knee was bothering me and I am not as spry as I once was. We heard some women behind us talking. Very interesting comments. One woman spoke about a friend who was a hiking partner. She described her friend as "pushy" when it came to hiking. Now her friend is pregnant and can't hike any more which makes that lady very happy. Another woman disagreed and said that you can do anything you want to do while pregnant if you were doing it before the pregnancy. For instance--when the doctor says to stop drinking coffee, tea, caffeine soda drinks or smoking, you can still do it. Huh? Have they no regard for the fetus? Hmmm. I kept my mouth shut for once but my thoughts disagreed with them.
Enjoyed my hike. Enjoyed my grandchildren, my daughter and my wife.
Now I am tired.
