What is your wish for Christmas?

Tonight, as we ate our dinner together, I asked my wife a simple question. It is a question I have thought about for some time.  I wanted to know what her answer would be.

"If you could have any wish for Christmas, what would it be?"

She thought about it and responded with her answer.

I smiled and told her it was the same thing that I would wish for if I had that choice.

I love my wife. I love that we have the same desire for a wish.

Of course, we are not going to reveal it to anyone but will keep it within our hearts.

Tomorrow, we have the blessing to talk to our daughter for one hour on Christmas day.  She is serving as a missionary on Temple Square in Salt Lake City.  We can hardly wait.

Tonight, I also read a blog by one of the sisters who is in the same mission and entered the MTC the same day with our daughter.  Her letter from a few weeks ago (posted by a family member) answered her Mom's question. "What do you want for Christmas?"

Her answered stunned me and brought tears to my eyes.  "I want a backpack for my companion. Her's broke and she needs a new one."  Her companion is from Mongolia.

I wish the world could be as unselfish as Sis. O.
