Being a grandparent is wonderful! It is better than being a parent. I do know it is less stressful. You can play with them, spoil them and then send them home. I love the kisses and hugs and the special notes and pictures. My granddaughters I understand and know how they think, but I am learning about little boys. They are sure different than girls. Raising girls was totally different than what I have been seeing with my grandsons. I have to hand it to my daughters. I remember when I was raising my girls, I would look at the little boys and think 'I don't know what to do with a boy. I'll keep my girls.' I do enjoy the grandsons, there is never a dull moment. From crawling out the dog door and digging in the dirt, and trying to ride the dog, to wrestling; it is all great fun. In this video Eli is doing the 'take downs', but Dallin was doing it also. Be sure to turn on your sound.
We just had Melissa's and Matt's boys (Eli and Sam) here for 3 days while their parents hiked the Grand Canyon. It was a lot of fun, but I now know why we have children when we are young. I was quite happy to let them take them home, but I do miss them. Jenny and her son came over on Saturday and Eli and Dallin had a great time playing. It was fun to see the cousins interact and play. I need to revamp the toy selection. The only time the boys look at the Barbie house and dolls is to push their(the Barbies) cars around. Shall I keep it for Sophia?

I'm so glad you had fun with the boys! I never worry about them when they are with you and dad. I also love that they have fun with Dallin. Of course you have to keep the barbie house. Uncle Russell make it for us. Plus, I might have a girl someday. I want my children to play with it and think "wow, my mom played with this!" thanks for taking the boys! Melissa
I love watching this video! You are such wonderful grandparents. The kids love you. And yes, you should keep the barbies.
